Every week on my other blog, Scathingly Brilliant, I do a song of the week feature called "The Melody Lingers On." I thought it would be fun to do a crossover feature here with my favorite 1920's tunes! The title comes from the 1930 song Cheerful Little Earful from the musical Sweet and Low :)

Cricket (Hoagy Carmichael) sings/plays this song in "To Have and Have Not" (Bogart/Bacall). Familiar? Love the drawing--and the musical accompaniment!
