New animation! "Unlike Eloise, Ramona had mastered the hula hoop"

Approx. 110 individual drawings, and over 6 hours of work to make this teeny tiny, itty bitty, teensy weensy 18 second animation. Phew!

Hotsy Totsy- Eloise and Ramona's collection of Jazz Age favorites

This cd is perfect for your 1920's themed party, or whenever you feel like dancing the Charleston in your living room. The disc contains 10 authentic Jazz Age songs *in the public domain* retrieved from archival websites, old records and copyright-free compilation albums. Available for $8 HERE.

And here is a video I put together (featuring a teeny tiny new animation) that includes 30 second demos of each of the 10 songs on the CD!

flapper flip book!

Available as an assembled flipbook in my shop for $12, or as a make-it-yourself PDF for $5!

Unlike Eloise, Ramona knows how to juggle -- the updated, finished animation!

I was really happy with the animation yesterday but I thought it wasn't quite good enough so I spent all day revamping it and making it longer. I gave it more of a plot (if such a thing is possible for a 24 second long video) and changed the opening title. This time I'm really 100% thrilled with it, and also very happy that you don't have to watch it 8 times in order to catch what's going on :)

I really think I like making animations now better than anything else. It's so fun to see your own drawings come to life!!

please, please (pretty please!!!) let me know what you think! :)

please? :)

new animation!

I can't believe this took me over 10 hours to draw, and it's over in the blink of an eye.. the actual animation lasts about three seconds!! Each frame was hand drawn and then scanned into the computer where I put them all together and added music.

You might want to play it a few times to really catch what's going on, since it goes by so quickly (but any slower and it looked too rigid... this is the prefect speed for it to go smoothly but it also means the action moves too fast!) I'm definitely going to do a longer-length animation now that I've finally gotten the hang of it. This sequence might be worked into the larger project but for now I like it on its own! :)

Sneak Peek! Eloise comes to life in my first animation!

Here is a 15 second sneak peek at my first animation of Eloise! I'm just getting started, so Ramona will have to wait her turn until my animating skills improve a little :D I'm hoping to have this whole animation finished sometime next week, but I I was too excited to wait that long, and thought I'd give everyone a little peek first!

(By the way, if anyone knows how to get individual frames in imovie to last less than .10 seconds each please let me know! thanks!)
