New holiday cards!

It's that time of year, again! Time to buy holiday cards to send to friends and family :) And this year, I have a few options for you! They're all available in my shop HERE. First up, there's the winter set, which features seasonal wintery scenes. There are 4 designs, and the packs come with 2 of each:

Flapper Doodle Playing Cards (!!!!)

I am really beyond excited to finally be sharing this project with you! It's taken me weeks to put together -- the drawing, scanning, editing and printing has probably been the most time-intensive project I've done so far! And I love the result.. the cards are really art-deco-ish and fun!

Each and every part of the cards, with the exception of the numbers, was hand-illustrated by me, including the suit designs and all of the face cards. They come in their own little box, too!

They are printed on 110 lb card stock, and have held up well to some shuffling and playing in my house. I wouldn't recommend them for people who play poker every night, but they'll stand up fine to the occasional game of go fish :)

Mother's Day Cards!

I call my mom "Mommie" with an "ie", my brother calls her "Mommy" with a "y" and she calls her own mom "mom". Some people call their mothers "ma" or "mum". Since there are so many different names for a mom, I hate it when greeting cards do something like this: "Mom, you're the best" or "Mother, with all of my love on Mother's Day", etc. I immediately rule those out since I don't call my mom "Mom" or "Mother", and don't really think it would be cool to cross out the name on the card and write "Mommie" over it.

Anyway, because of this strange pet peeve of mine, I decided that my inside greeting wouldn't use any colloquialism for Mother. Instead, I just wrote "you're the bee's knees." Simple and sweet, and, at least in my own mom's case, very true. :)

Speaking of my mom, she's helping me work on the Eloise doll ALL day tomorrow so hopefully I'll be putting these in the shop soon!!!

Valentine's Day Cards!

I now have Valentine's Day cards in stock in my shop! There are three designs to choose from (pictured below) and the inside greeting is customizable. There are three options -- a simple "Happy Valentines Day," a custom greeting, OR this greeting that I found in a vintage Valentine's Day card that my grandfather sent to my grandmother during World War II:
