Build your own stationery!

You're probably getting tired of me saying this, but I'm really excited about my newest project!! I've added a Build Your Own Stationery section to my website where you can (surprise!) build your own Flapper Doodle stationery set! You get to choose the packaging, and the optional base set (15 sheets of matching patterned paper, envelopes and note cards) and mix and match paper and note cards from the six different designs! It's all super fun! You can check it out here.

Three new drawings & a new stationery set

I finally did some new flapper doodle drawings!! (about time!) I have two typewriter drawings and one of Eloise at the beach in a really cute bathing suit! Available as 4x6 prints in my etsy shop...

I also have a new stationery set available in the shop -- this is a sampler pack, for anyone who likes the boxed stationery but doesn't want to commit to one design :) It includes a notecard, envelope, patterned paper and matching envelope from each of the 4 stationery sets (the non-personalized sets). So in all it includes 4 note cards, 4 patterned papers and 4 matching envelopes. In the shop for $10.

Boxed stationery sets

Exciting new products!! I've been working on these for a while, so I'm pretty thrilled about it! :) These boxed stationery sets come in six different themes, and each set comes with 15 5"x7" sheets of stationery paper, 10 matching envelopes, 10 matching note cards and 10 note card envelopes. Available for $20 per set, in my shop.

On a quick side note, does anyone know how to brighten photos in photoshop without washing out the color? I use natural sunlight, but my pictures always need to be brightened anyway, and the "brighten" function always fades the color. It's not usually a problem with my grayscale products, but almost all of the stationery sets got washed out. The par avion set is the only one that came out almost perfect. For instance, in the neapolitan ice cream set, you can't tell that the paper background is pink, brown and cream striped. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!! :)

to-do-list notepad trio

I've had this idea on my to-do-list (ha.ha.) for a while and finally completed it last night -- it turned out so much better than I thought it would! I'm really happy with it!! The set includes three 25 page glue-bound notepads, each 7.5" x 3.5". The set comes with a to-do-list pad, a shopping list pad and a grocery list pad. Each set is $9 and is available in my shop here.

I've had a lot of inquires about the Eloise dolls (thank you!), don't worry I'm working on them and will have them ready very soon!! I'm having a wee bit of trouble with her hair, but once I get that all sorted out I'll start making them to sell :)

Halloween Party Invitations!

Now that fall is here I'm ready for Halloween! I don't enjoy it as much as I did when I was a kid, but it's still a fun holiday. I've never been big on candy, so what I looked forward to each October 31st was bringing home my loot and organizing it. All of the tootsie rolls together, all of the Snickers lined up in a row. Once I had it all perfectly arranged, my mom would take a picture and then I'd let everyone else eat the candy :)

Of course one of the most fun things about Halloween is the Halloween party! I threw one for my little brother a few years ago, and I pulled out all the stops! I made eyeball cupcakes, had a "guess how many maggots are in the jar" contest (rice grains mixed with gray food coloring-- gross!) and I made headstones out of clay (with the names of his guests etched into the stone!) as the placeholders. Then I cut off Barbie arms, glued them to the tablecloth and sprinkled coffee grounds around them to make them look like they were coming out of the grave in front of the headstones. It's hard to explain so here are the pictures:

It was pretty neat :) Anyway, the whole thing would have been even NEATER if I had some really nifty Halloween Party invitations to send...

Speaking of which-- I've just made and listed Halloween Party invitations in the shop! The invitation shows the flappers dressed up in their Halloween costumes as a pirate (note the little parrot and the hook) a jack-o-lantern, a vampire, a ghost and a witch. I'd have one dress up as a flapper, but, well...

They come in packs of 10, at $10 each.

No more stationery sets... but I have something new instead!

After printing out a bunch of Christmas card sets last night, I realized how great the designs look on cards... so I've decided to do away with my letterhead stationery sets and make note card sets instead. (I still have ONE stationery set left in stock, so if you had your heart set on one just email me!) I'm really excited about these! They're a little easier for me to make, and I think they look ten times better. AND instead of the design being like one inch small at the bottom of the paper, it takes up the whole card.

So the new sets are available in my shop now, here. They include 6 cards, with one each of six designs:

- Eloise and Ramona eat Neapolitan ice cream
- Eloise and Ramona prepare for a night on the town
- Eloise and Ramona dance the Charleston
- Emma is fascinated with The Great Gatsby
- Eloise as Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face
- Eloise and Ramona ride their bicycle

It also includes 6 envelopes (duh!) and four little stickers :)
